POSITION: HEAD START COORDINATOR
LENGTH OF EMPLOYMENT: January 2025 to May 2026
HOUR OF WORK: FULL-TIME, (35 HRS/WEEK)
REPORTS TO: EDUCATION MANAGER
WAGE: $30/HOUR
PROGRAM SUMMARY: The Education Department is responsible for the services that are delivered through the Head Start, Learning House and SX̱EDJELI Childcare program.
We aim to develop comprehensive supports for students, parents and guardians in our community, all with the goal of improving the outcome of education. W̱SÁNEĆ culture and the SENĆOŦEN language are important components of all our programs.
POSITION SUMMARY: To develop, plan, coordinate and implement the required components of the Head Start program. This position plays an important role to promote the early childhood stages of growth and development of the preschool children within the SȾÁUTW̱ First Nation.
